IOn Mount Pleasant SC is a 243 acre planned community patterned after downtown Charleston, the Old Village of Mt. Pleasant, Beaufort and Savannah. There are a limited amount Homes and lots for sale. According to an IOn brochure, the "tree-lined streets, miles of marshfront paths and shady sidewalks are designed to encourage walking, bicycling, and neighborly interaction among IOn residents. Complemented by the architectural style of the homes, the parks, green spaces and sidewalks create a sense of place and community within IOn. New and resale homes come on the market every week and are priced in the $600,000 + price range. Although the "square foot" price of homes in I'On are some of the highest in the area, the exterior and interior architectural detail and quality of the homes generally justifies the prices.
IOn Mount Pleasant SC is the kind of place that draws you outdoors. The connecting streets, sidewalks and paths offer endless variety for walking, jogging and pedaling through the neighborhood. By design, public space abounds - from quiet trails and parks to the vibrant shops at I'On Square.
